Seidenfadeniella - Sathish


An Indo-Sri Lankan genus of two species of thin, flimsy and pendulous epiphytes , seidenfadeniella has both species represented in India in including Kerala .

This species has orange yellow flowers

Occurrence : Idukki District.

Distribution : South India (Kerala , Tamil Nadu) and Sri Lanka .

Originally described by Wight based on collections from 'Neddawattim ' in Nilgiris , seidenfadeniella rosea is at oncedistinguished from the related species by the purplish violet to rose coloured flowers

Occurrence : Palghat and Wayanad Districts.

Distribution : Regional Endemic (Karnata, Kerala and Tamil Nadu).
